Mentors Visit Local Clinics to create link to Community Resources
Motherwell CRC, Gqebera Clinic and Kwazakele Clinic were visited this week by our Sakha Esethu Mentor Mothers. The aim of the visits was to strength the link from the parent support groups to the local clinics and health services. Many of the Mentor Mothers spoke of additional resources and support for parents struggling with TB, HIV and breastfeeding.
Discussions with serval community members and clinic staff were encouraging and confirmed to our mentors that their active role in the community was not only valued but desperately needed.
The Community groups use the conversations tools found in resources as tool to lead conversations in their groups.
Thanks must go to the kind clinic staff from the Department of Health for welcoming our mentors.
